Made for GAMMA!
I Have Big Balls
A 2 player musical battle. May the biggest balls win
IHBB debuted at GAMMA on November 9th, 2006 to overwhelming response.
Here for your enjoyment is IHBB 1.0g. The 'g' is for "gamma" - it signifies both the release party name and that it may not be the final version!!! stay tuned for more details about the future of IHBB
IHBB is a two player game where the objective is to knock the other player off the edge. The floor ripples and waves with the music playing in the background making it difficult to stay in the arena. It's dancing sumo!

Update
IHBB went through the first gameplay session. It lasted about 2 hours, here's a video from it.
There's still a little left to be done, mostly visual cues for stuff like power ups, sucking and blowing, and scoring, but otherwise the game is mostly done. Enjoy!
Video: Playtest Video - requres DivX and SOUND
IHBB was designed to be played for under five minutes by many people. The controls have to be simple, the idea has to be simple, and the game has to be fun. The game also has to have the content generated from the music of a live band.
IHBB is being made specifically for GAMMA, and it will debut at the event on November 9th. If you're in the Montreal area on November 9th please come! It will be fun, I promise.

These were taken 5 days into game development, so there's still a lot left to be made, but you can get the general idea!
The music in the video is coming in through the line-in in my computer from an iPod. (yes that's me talking at the start of the video: "hi!")

Note: I do not like to release information about a game before it's complete, however this is a special case. Since it's being made for a live event with other games being showcased, I'd like to share what I've done with other designers so maybe they can get some ideas from me, or maybe it'll encourage them to release information about their game so I can get some ideas from them!
